Supt. Chane P. Smith, Sr. was born in Los Angeles, California. He is the fifth of six children born to Pastor Charles and Mrs. Evelyn D. Smith.

The hand of God was evident in his life as a child. His manner was so grave and sober that he became known amongst all that knew him as an old man in a young man’s body. At a very young age, God had given him wisdom beyond his years.

The Shackelford Miracle Temple, affectionately known as SMT, is comprised of many ministries for practical and spiritual growth. No matter your age, ethnicity, marital status, or walk in life, there is room for you.

The ministries of this church were set in place to meet the needs of the whole man. 

Beginning in January 2020. the SMT Church began the process of renovating our property. . After over 30 years in the same building, it was impressed upon our current pastor, to move on faith and begin renovations. What begin as a simple renovation, has grown into a full project and a brand new edifice.
